JRP Medical Transit was born from the loss of our grandmother — a woman we loved deeply, who suffered a stroke and spent her final days in a nursing home far from everything familiar. We were there. We sat with her. And we saw firsthand how hard it is to watch someone you love struggle to be understood — to reach for words that won't come, surrounded by people who don't speak her language, her culture, her heart.

Sitting in that nursing home, watching our grandmother — watching her try to communicate with nurses and staff who didn't speak Haitian Creole — changed us. She couldn't always find the words in English. And in those moments, what she needed wasn't just care. She needed someone who understood her.
We started JRP Medical Transit because that experience lives in us. Because we know what it feels like to be the family member in the waiting room, praying the ride shows up on time. We know what it feels like to be the patient who can't explain where it hurts. And we know what a difference it makes when someone simply says — in your language — "I've got you."

A trained, professional driver arrives at the scheduled pickup with a clean, fully equipped vehicle.
We transport the patient safely to their appointment — and arrange the return trip if needed.
